He continued his law enforcement career with City of Winnipeg Police Services until his retirement in 1985, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was passionate about being a police officer, helping others, and serving his community in many ways. During all his retired years, Ogle never stopped thinking of himself as a police officer, and often bragged that the men and women on my shift were the best! . Ogle and Elsie enjoyed many happy years at their cottage at Sandy Hook. His wide range of interests included gardening, making works of folk art, carpentry and building, taking pictures, the love of nature, and all sports. He served proudly as President of the Ft. In 1989, Ogle and Elsie moved to Kirchoff Gardens on Dakota Street in South St. Vital, where he spent many hours in the workshop producing hand-made treasures that he shared with the many people he encountered in his daily life. He found great joy in the lives of his grandchildren. Ogle and Elsie recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. Ogle, you have left us here for a while, but you remain alive in our hearts.
