CLIFFORD ALAN AUDLEY July 18, 1928 - December 6, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on Thursday, December 6, 2012, Cliff passed away with family at his side. Cliff was predeceased only five weeks earlier by his loving wife Irene, of 63 years. He was also predeceased by his son Jimmy, brother Art, and sisters Beatrice and Lillian. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Greg Audley (Roberta), Lois Behlke (Hal), grandchildren, Dustin (Ashleigh), Greg, Alexis, Kristian and great-grandchildren, Preston, Hannah, Austin and Logan. Also surviving are his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Cliff was born and raised in Winnipeg. He learned about hard work at the age of 14 when he started working at the coal yards. He went on to work in the trucking industry and in 1967 he started up his own trucking company, Audley Cartage. Since that time he built his fleet up to almost 30 trucks until he retired in 1992. Cliff was very involved at his church. He sat on the church board for many years and the board for the Arms of the Cross. He also enjoyed helping Irene with the Cross Golden Age Club. Cliff enjoyed being Santa' for Assiniboia West C.C. for their Breakfast with Santa for many years. He also donned his skates and Santa suit and went out skating with hockey and ringette teams, handing out candy canes. Cliff loved to be involved with the children in the family. He was the one that quieted the baby that was crying with his singing, or crawling on his hands and knees playing with the toddlers. As the children grew he would be their biggest fan at their various sports games. Cliff and Irene loved to travel, but more than anything he loved his time at the cottage. He loved to snowmobile, go boating, garden, take long walks with Irene, pick blueberries and of course, having happy hour' with friends and family on their dock overlooking the lake. The family would like to thank the staff at Lion's Manor Personal Care for their amazing care and kindness. A memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Dad, we love you and will always miss you, your warm smile and big hugs NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
