HEATHER DAWN SOLOMON (nee SCHMIDT) December 22, 1958 December 7, 2012 It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Heather on December 7, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, soul mate and best friend Dan; beloved children Sandi (Mike), Derek (Karissa); and her prides and joy grandchildren Douglas, Skyler, Donavin, and Dawson. She is survived by mom Dolores, siblings Sherry (Ray), Gina (Darcy), Tamara, and Robert. She is also survived by mother-in-law Cathy, stepmother-in-law Betty, sisters-in-law Deb, Michele, Laura, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dad Herbert in 2009, brother-in-law Gary and father-in-law Jim, both in 2012. Heather loved driving, and joined Dan as team partner in 1996, driving semis in Canada and the US, first at Atomic, and then Penner International for owner operators. Family was important, and time spent with her children and then her grandchildren was precious, whether it be just all being together at home, or on outings. At Heather's request, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in her care since 2007.
