  • Many Thoughts of Sympathy... MTS Volunteers - Posted by: Veronica Sichewski () on: Dec 30, 2012

  • Chris & Anji, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Dad. I just wanted to share a couple of stories about your Dad. As long as I can remember your Dad was always involved with baseball in Dugald and being from a family of 5 kids, sometimes things were forgotten and your Dad always made sure we were signed up for baseball when we forgot to register. I'm still playing baseball and I have so many great memories and friends because of that and I have to thank your Dad for always making sure I was on the team and that baseball was always something we were able to do in the summer. I also used to babysit the two of you and your parents were great to babysit for; they always had so many treats that usually by the time they came home from one of dances at the Dugald Hall, I was comatose from the sugar rush and your Dad would insist that he drive me home and make sure I got in the house safely even though we only lived about 4 houses away. My condolences go out to both of you and your families. - Posted by: Nadine Lumsden (Neighbour) on: Dec 13, 2012

  • Our condolences to the family. Herb even tried to teach me to golf at Warroads MN. Many good weekends camping with Herb and Edna. Don & Sue Reder - Posted by: Don Reder (Sports) on: Dec 12, 2012

  • Our deepest sympathy to Chris, Angie & families, we always enjoyed talking to Herb and have missed seeing him around Dugald. - Posted by: Sharlyn @ Lorne Veinot () on: Dec 12, 2012

  • Herb was a major influence in my life in sports, starting when I was a teenager in baseball. He coached for many years with dedication and success. In later years he tried to coach a bunch of cranky middle-aged men, including me, at old-timers hockey. This was less successful but probably more fun, and definitely less serious. My condolences go out to the family. - Posted by: Bob McKay () on: Dec 12, 2012

  • Herb was always very friendly and the constant teaser whenever I would visit at their house. His wife Edna was one of my curling teammates for many years. I remember watching for him as he was out riding his bicycle on hwy 206 at the time I was driving to work in the mornings. I am sorry to hear of his passing and I know Chris, Anji and his grandchildren will miss him. My deepest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Linda Kwiatkowski () on: Dec 12, 2012
