EMILY JAREMA It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Emily, with her daughter Brenda by her side and clenched tightly in her arms in the morning of December 8, 2012. Emily is predeceased by her husband Peter, daughter Sandra, son-in-law Robert, her parents Peter and Tina, as well as 12 of her siblings. Emily will be greatly missed by her son Ed (Georgina), daughters Sharon and Brenda and her grandchildren Aynsley (Zeljko), Toban (Danielle), Whitney (Kody) and Zaz; her sister Francis (Orest) and brother Frank (Katherine); as well as her extended families Tillie and Edgar Padilla, their children Edallie (Mike), Edgar Jr. (Michelle) and grandchildren; as well as Nicollette and Leanna Di Martino. Emily was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba on December 9, 1921. She grew up on the farm and eventually moved to Winnipeg, where she married Peter Jarema and raised her family. Emily was a very devoted housewife and mother who cared very deeply for her family and extended family, which was always her first priority. Family outings were such a joy for her and the whole family loved to do so much together such as tobogganing, shopping, traveling and so much more. Emily also loved to knit in her spare time; a hobby that many would benefit from. Emily also had an eye for many fine things, a few of which she chose to make her collection. Emily will always be remembered for her Very Big Kind Heart . She brought love, joy and kindness to each person she ever touched. Everyone was always welcomed into her house of 'love' and never turned away. She always treated people with respect and no one ever left her home without a good meal. We all experienced many great and memorable times throughout Emily's life. Emily will forever be in all our thoughts, dreams, hearts and souls. The memories and love will live on forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank Dr. Connely and all the staff of Holy Family Nursing Home for the excellent care and support they provided to Emily. Brenda would especially like to thank Sandra Hobey for all the care, support and love she provided for mom and myself. We love you Emily, you will forever be loved, cherished and sadly missed by all. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 4000 Portage Ave. with viewing to occur just prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 0R3. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. • Dear Ed, Sharon & Brenda, I was saddened to hear of the passing of your mother & my dear auntie Emily. I have fond memories of my visits to your Toronto street home and with my uncle & aunt and cousins and always asking to see that green faced doll named "Peter". Still don't know where he came from or why it had a green face but I've never forgotten it either! Anyhow, my deepest sympathies to you all for as she was a wonderful human being.
