CHERYL KIMBERLY GALLAGHER (GISLASON) Born June 25, 1963 - December 10, 2012 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share the sudden loss of our dear Mom, Daughter, and Sister, at the age of 49 years young. Left to cherish her memory are her two favourite kids in the whole wide world, her beautiful daughter Rylea and most handsome son Sean and their father Neil, along with his daughter Naomi. Her most awesome parents, Arthur and Karen Gislason, sisters, Corrine (Tommi), Marla, brothers Terrence, Svany (Collette) and Wade (Stacey). Nieces and nephews she loved so dearly, Sheena (Travis), Drew, Matthias, Braydon, Levon, Karlie, Brenley, Colby and Davis, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cheryl had a zest for life. Her gigantic smile and giggles made and kept her numerous friends everywhere she travelled. She treasured her travels to Iceland, planning to only stay three weeks, and stayed three years. Cheryl fell in love with the country and the people. She always stayed connected with her very special friends from Iceland. Her chosen career in Iceland was at Bulandstindur in Djupavogi (fish factory), this creating the amazing work ethic she possessed. Upon her return to Manitoba she spent numerous years as a travel agent/consultant. She had currently been working at the Yorkton Hospital as a Dietary Aid, chief cook and bottle washer, lol. Her Yorkton friends were her second family. Her parents instilled a fantastic family bond, all for one and one for all. Cheryl loved her family and rarely missed any special occasion. Her travels in the car with her best buddies Rylea and Sean were her biggest thrill and most memorable. She loved her kids and family. Following the service in the Arborg Hall there will be a Christmas tree standing in honour of Cheryl at the Geysir Hall. Rylea and Sean have a special request to please bring and hang an ornament on the tree in memory of their mom. We would like to thank all the Ambulance attendants, Arborg District Hospital, Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, for everyone's fast response, compassion and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gallagher Family Trust Rylea Sean , set up at the CIBC Arborg Branch, in Arborg, Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arborg Hall in Arborg, Manitoba. Goda Nott Elskan Eg Elska Pig P.S. We will really miss our weather forecasting lady! • I met Cheryl on a travel agent trip to Vegas - although Cheryl already had a connection to my family. What a time we had - probably 20 years ago and we still talked about the crazy times. Everything we did was all about laughter and more laughter - the first cookie exchange at my house via Costco, the only time I went to a football game starting with breakfast- in the snow but of course Cheryl always made everything extra fun! I will miss that kooky sense of humour and the crazy facebook jokes. I will miss you my dear friend. Godspeed Cheryl! - Posted by: Sheila Selluski (Friend) on: Dec 17, 2012
