ETHEL COAKES (nee DUFFEY) We are saddened to announce the passing of Ethel Coakes on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Avenue. A longer obituary will be placed in the New Year. 204-586-8044

  • Ethel Coakes was our neighbor for 30 years. She was very dear to this family. My husband & I called her mother our 3 sons called her grandma, she was very much a part of this family in every thing we did & every where we went. She was loved so much, she was a very caring lady who will never be forgotten. She will live in our memories forever.   • Gary, Jack and families - Sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. There are many memories over the years that flashed back when we read the news. The ones that came to mind were the family gatherings at your mom's cottage with the games and pot luck dinners. It was always nice to see everyone and the reunions brought family together if only for those few hours. Those memories are forever.
