PAULINE ZELENITSKY (BOITSON) Peacefully on December 13, 2012, Pauline passed away at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB. She is survived by her four children: son Charlie (Donna); and daughters Carole (John) Langston, Lorraine (Raymond) Vigfusson and Patty Swanson. Also left to mourn are her seven grandchildren: Sheryl, Darla, Gary, Arne, Corrinne, Sheila, Dennis and their families; sister Helen Hoel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Jerry; son-in-law Ray Swanson; her parents Peter and Anna Boitson; four brothers; and three sisters. She was born on May 1, 1920, and married Jerry on May 30, 1940. They made their home in Winnipeg Beach which is where they raised their family and operated Jerry's Electrical business. Pauline enjoyed the outdoors whether it be camping and fishing or growing beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and was an excellent cook and baker. She baked the best breads and doughnuts which were always family favorites. She also loved animals and had many pets throughout the years as well as all of the wild birds and chipmunks which enjoyed the numerous bird feeders throughout her yard. Pauline's family would like to thank her extended Betel family who cared for her the past ten years. A very special thank you to Gayle in the Recreation Department for ensuring that she attended all the activities that she enjoyed and to Ed for taking her to mass each week. As per Pauline's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Betel Home Foundation, Box 10, Gimli, MB, ROC 1BO or to a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have many fond memories of spending time at Auntie Polly and Uncle Jerry's house, especially during summer holidays. They never seemed to mind how many kids were running around, and getting underfoot. Years later, we took my kids out to visit, and they especially raved about the lunch, we were served, with everything including bread, made from scratch. With her long illness, the last few years have been hard on all of you, Charlie, Carole, Lorraine and Patty. Our thoughts are with you.
