RONALD EDWIN HAWKINS Sadly we announce the passing of Ronald Hawkins on December 7, 2012 at the age of 94 years. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Ethel and Ernest Greenhall, and sister Thelma. He is survived by Ilene, his loving wife of 63 years, half-sister Joan (Gary) Cudmore, half-brother Ken, and nieces and nephews. Ron served with the Royal Canadian Navy for five years during the Second World War, followed by four years with the Naval Reserves. Following the war, he attended the University of Manitoba to study engineering. He was an aircraft electrician for Air Canada for 26 years. Ron was able to repair almost anything, enjoyed golf, reading, and was a master target shooter. He also travelled across Canada, most of the United States as well as England and parts of Europe. In accordance with Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
