Dear Annis & Family I am sorry to hear of Joe's death. He was a man to be admired. We worked together at Neon Products and I can tell you that Joe did some unbelieveable things in making delivery dates, keeping fellow employees happy and just generally being a great person to know and to be able to call a "friend". My thoughts are with all of you. - Posted by: Jim Bracken (Friend) on: Jan 06, 2013

I could not let this go by without letting you know how many times you were in my thoughts, you and your Dad. He was such a wonderful gentleman. I met him many years later, I recognized him immediately, and introduced myself to him. He was so surprised and genuinely pleased that I had done that. I am so sorry for your loss. Condolences to your family. - Posted by: Lisa Luckwell (nee Sawchuk) (best friend to Lindsay (age 5)) on: Jan 03, 2013

Joe was the perfect Dad. He would arrive in Toronto and immediately start doing chores for Lindsay and Cindy. Always cheerful and unbelievably energetic, Joe was able to do anything around the house from building shelves to fixing the plumbing. I couldn't believe it when Cindy told me, fairly recently, that her Dad was painting her kitchen. Joe was up on a ladder, in his late 80's, hard at work. They don't make 'em like Joe anymore! - Posted by: Angela Wright (Friend) on: Dec 21, 2012

Uncle Joe, we will miss you very much at our family dinners and you playing the organ. You were always there for us when we went away on vacation so we would not have to worry about the blocks. We knew they were in good hands. - Posted by: Brenda Campbell (Niece) on: Dec 21, 2012

Dear Annis, Lindsay, Cindy and Bill, The Roblins and Lathrops send their condolences and are thinking of your family. Duff and Mary thought the world of Joe. On top of being a wonderful human being- kind, thoughtful and warm, he was a terrific husband, father and neighbour. Our prayers are with you in your bereavement. - Posted by: Jennifer Roblin (friend) on: Dec 20, 2012
