PATRICK ROY MORRISSETTE January 7, 1942 - December 18, 2012 On Tuesday, December 18, 2012, Roy passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 70 years old. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Adeline, his brothers Robert, David, Gordon and three sisters; Christine Rider, Bernice Hall and Sandra Reid. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his loving son Robert Morrissette (Marjorie) and two grandchildren Tracey and Wesley. Roy will be sadly missed by his brothers Edward (Harriet), Abraham, Roderick (Collette), sisters Florence Cardinal, Gloria Snyder and Joanne Morrissett (John) and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Thomson Funeral Chapel located at 669 Broadway Avenue. Public viewing prior to Service with a Luncheon to follow the service at 53 Stadacona Street, Winnipeg. Papa Roy raised me from a baby girl till I had kids of my own with my grandmother Helena courchene his life partner. Austin my first son was Roy's partner in crime down on the pool tables at 444 Kennedy Everyday he came home from work he always had a chocolate bar for me when I was a kid...I will miss you greatly papa Roy RIP with granny. Love you. I grew up knowing Roy as my own papa. He was my grandmother's best friend and companion. He was a very loving and caring man. He was there for all of my family my aunts and uncles. I know he has a very special place in heaven for all of his acts of kindness he did while here on earth.
