MORRIS E. TARIO 1921 - 2012 At age 91, Morris passed away with his family at his side. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 63 years, Cecile, his three children, Carol (Dennis) Tario Bobick, Merle (Ken) Lewis, and Earl (Deb) Tario, four grandchildren; James (Beka) Chorney, David (Jen) Chorney, Kevin Bobick and Nicole Bobick, and four great-grandchildren; Liam, Autumn, Winter and Drew. Also left to mourn are his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Clare) Tario and Maureen (Gord) Tario as well as extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents, his sister and five brothers. He was an incredibly gentle, caring and extremely generous man. His passion for gardening resulted in all things growing and blooming under his care. He was known for his love of the outdoors and nature, especially the wild birds and chipmunks. He was an avid walker in the Assiniboine forest trails, often doing five miles a day. Morris was raised in Austin, Manitoba, joining the Princess Patricia Signal Corps during the Second World War, serving for five years, both here and abroad. Upon returning, he began a 20 year career with CN Rail. It was at this time that he met, fell in love and married Cecile Dutour. They made their home and raised their children in Winnipeg. In his forties, Morris chose to pursue a career with Canada Post, employed as a letter carrier until his retirement. He was awarded the first ever Post Man of the Year. A funeral service celebrating Morris' life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, with interment and reception to follow.
