Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ANDERSEN KLAUSEN Charles Andersen Klausen passed away peacefully with his family by his side, December 23, 2012, at Boyne Lodge in Carman, Manitoba at the age of 96 years. Born in Denmark, April 23, 1916, he is survived by his wife of 58 years Aganetha (nee Fehr), sons David (Claudia), Henry (Natina), Paul (Evelyn) and Harvey (Lillian), his grandchildren Brett (Sheana), Melissa, Tracy, Tyler (Stephanie), Jacob and Timothy, great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Joey, sister Sidsel and brother Ove. Charles was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters and his beloved granddaughter Andrea. Charles came to Canada from Denmark in 1948. He started his Canadian life in St. Norbert where he worked on a dairy farm. He later moved to Winnipeg where he became a carpenter. While in Winnipeg, he met and married Agnes and together they bought a farm, moved to the Barnsley area and raised four children. In 1978, Charles sold the farm to continue building houses and was still swinging a hammer at the age of 86. Viewing will take place at Doyle's Funeral Home, Carman Manitoba, Friday, December 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the Carman Mennonite Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 29, 2012. Interment to follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. Luncheon to follow. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carman Palliative Care, Box 610 Carman, Manitoba R0G 0J0. My condolences to Agnes and family . . . I will remember Charles as a kind, caring man. Will also remember always be welcomed on visits with my parents to the Klausen farm in Elm Creek . . . time and lives have separated us, but please know that you are thought of often.
