Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE HAYKA Peacefully with his family at his side Steve passed away on December 23, 2012 at the age of 91. Left to cherish his memory are wife Jennie and daughter Patty (Al), sister Millie, brothers John and Tony (Jocelyn), and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his daughter Susan in 1975, parents Peter and Mary, sister Anne Wiebe and brother Bill. Steve was born in Arnes, Manitoba on April 28, 1921, having spent most of his early years farming he moved to Winnipeg in 1958 and was employed by Sherwin Williams and later by Reed Paper from where he retired. Steve enjoyed playing cards and volunteered at the bingo night at Blessed Virgin Mary Church Hall for many years. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many lawn ornaments for the family. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring and thoughtful staff at The Luther Personal Care Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. Interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul Church cemetery near Arnes.
