I moved to Winnipeg in 1970 and Aunt Mary and Uncle Art took us under their wings. We were a part of their family and always welcome. When our 2 boys were born, they got to know "Gammy and Pomps". Will always remember that big smile and those dimples, and the open arms ! Love Kathy - Posted by: Kathy Henderson Lebel (Niece) on: Jan 13, 2013

I have fond memories of growing up on north Roseberry street in the 1950's - 1970's with the Wallis family. I often reflect going out to Sunny Harbor west of Headingley in the Wallis' "1957 Ford station wagon." All the boys on the street and Mary the only mom with a drivers licence in those days in control. The Wallis' loved to entertain at 477 Roseberry. Sorry to hear this news, our thoughts are with you. I remember Mary Wallis as a kind, involved person when I was growing up as a next-door neighbour on Roseberry Street. We were both big families, which was always interesting. I also remember how she and Linda came to my mother's funeral, which was very touching and, I think, very typical of her kindness. - Posted by: Lynne Mccarthy (former neighbour at 481 Roseberry Street) on: Dec 30, 2012
