LIEBEN January 31, 1919 - December 23, 2012 It is with sadness I announce the passing of my father, Frank Herbert Lieben, on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Frank was born in Teplice, Czechoslovakia on January 31, 1919. He served with the R. A. F. as an airman, between 1940 and 1946 and emigrated to Canada in 1950 after completing his degree in Chemical and Metallurgic engineering at the University of Liverpool. Frank worked in Flin Flon, MB, and Marathon, ON, for most of his career, retiring to Winnipeg in the early 1980s. He loved the wide expanse of Canada and thoroughly enjoyed exploring hiking trails from coast to coast but his favourite spot was his cabin at Hemlo. Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary (Olsen), his parents and his brother. He will be fondly remembered and always missed by his daughter Alice Ann (Dale Allan). I'd like to thank very much, the special people on station 2 at Tuxedo Villa for their care and safekeeping of my Dad for the past 18 months. Cremation has taken place.
