SIDNEY D. REIMER February 28, 1940 - December 29, 2012 Sid Reimer was born February 28, 1940 in Steinbach, MB to Diedrich and Katherina Reimer, the youngest of seven children. He passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012 with his family at his side, after a life well lived. He was the beloved husband of Corinne (Penner), cherished father of Darrell (Denise), Doug (Ang), Pam (Tracy), and Randy (Heidi). Sid was baptized in 1955 at Prairie Rose EMC. Right around this time, he started his lifelong career at what began as Johnny's Workshop' and later became Landmark Motors. After 50 years with Landmark Motors, he retired from the car business and shortly thereafter took up a second career' working at the Lorette Golf Course, organizing business golf tournaments and barbecuing a terrific steak! People recognized him far and wide in the business community for his honesty and fairness, deeply rooted in his faith in God. He exemplified Landmark Motors' business motto Integrity in motion and his influence was widespread, as attested to by the many messages of condolence the family has received, for which we are very thankful. Sid and Corinne enjoyed 52 years of blissful marriage and were a model of fidelity and love to their children, grandchildren, and all those around them. They enjoyed travelling together and experiencing new places and people, in particular Maui. Although he will be unable to walk the sands of Hawaii as he had planned for February 2013, we know that he is walking the streets of gold in Heaven - we miss him already and look to the hope of the resurrection when we will all meet again. The family wishes to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion to Sid. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in honour of Sid to CancerCare Manitoba or EMC Missions. The funeral service for Sid Reimer will be held Wednesday, January 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Rose Evangelical Mennonite Church, Landmark, with burial at the church cemetery. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive in Steinbach on Tuesday, January 1 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. Viewing will also be at the church prior to the service. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Evangelical Mennonite Church Missions. Arrangements entrusted to Birchwood Funeral Chapel 1-204-346-1030 or 1-888-454-1030

Vern and I came to know Sid through our years of membership at Lorette Golf Course. We will remember him fondly as always smiling, welcoming and generous, especially standing by the BBQ. His steaks were the best but I will truly miss his grilled salmon. Condolences to his family and may the many wonderful memories comfort you in the days ahead. - Posted by: Debra & Vern Wutke (Friends at Golf Course) on: Jan 04, 2013

Sincerest condolences to close friends and family. Sid & I first met when he generously added friendship to an ever-increasing products purchase list during my calls a sales representative at the car dealership. Sid's welcoming and accepting smile soon became a trade-mark greeting. Years later and as a management consultant we discussed everything from business expansion to divestiture! More recently, as a golfer at Lorette Golf Club we contemplated the club's expansion and discussed his love of life and people. How I loved to meet with him! How very, very much I'll miss this wonderful, stalwart Christian Soldier! - Posted by: Ben Hoeppner (Business Acquaintance ) on: Jan 02, 2013
