MARGARET GRACE MCBEATH (GIFFORD) December 3, 1921 - December 29, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Grace McBeath on December 29, 2012 at the Victoria General Hospital with her family by her side. Grace is survived by her loving husband Colin; her children Judy (Richard), Kath (David) and John (Sheila); her grandchildren Lisa (Chis), Jonathan and Amanda; her brother John (Shirley) and her many nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her parents Ella and Frederick; her brothers Ernie, Arthur, Fred, Doug and her sister Violet. Grace was born and raised on the Canadian Prairies. She attended business college and worked for the British Government in Washington D.C. during the war. Grace pursued her life's ambition by taking nurses training in Bermuda and Montreal. Bermuda held a special place in her heart, as it was where she made many great friends, had fond memories and met her beloved husband, Colin. Grandma (Mom) was a very special woman. She had many talents, a quick wit and the patience of Job. All who met her, and had the pleasure to know her, knew that she was a kind and considerate person whose passion was to help others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Grace's parish St. Phillips Anglican Church or a charity of your choice in her memory. In keeping with Grace's wishes, a private family service and interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
