KENNETH CORRIGAL MCLEOD It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Ken McLeod. Ken passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Kin Place Personal Care Home in OakBank at the age of 87 years. Remaining to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Eileen, daughters Lorraine Giesbrecht (Don), Colleen Funk (Ray), son Dale McLeod (Donna), daughter in law Lori McLeod, sister Mary Sellen (Dick), grandchildren Trent Giesbrecht (Natalie), Nevin Giesbrecht (Chantale), Kyle Giesbrecht (Kyra), Justin McLeod, Jenna McLeod, Steven Funk, Jeremy Funk and great grandchildren Lexi, Ronan and Phoebe Giesbrecht. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Mary, brothers and sisters and his dear son Wes McLeod. Ken was born in Dugald on April 6, 1925. He worked for Manitoba Hydro and retired after many years with the C.N.R., Transcona Shops. He had a passion for hockey, playing in his younger days, watching Hockey Night in Canada, and especially taking and watching his sons play, he was their biggest fan. Later on he found much joy in watching his grandchildren in all of their activities. Ken and Eileen enjoyed their time together, cross country skiing and dancing at many old time dances where they made many new friends. He loved visiting and time with his family was very dear to him. He will be sadly missed. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at OakBank United Church 582 Balsam Crescent in OakBank with Rev. Cathy Kinsman officiating. A reception will follow at the Dugald Community Club. Special thanks to the Kin Place Staff for their care and support over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba 493 Madison Street, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1J2 Seasons Funeral Chapel ~ OakBank
