GEORGE SZOR After a lengthy battle with health problems, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of George Szor on January 12, 2013 surrounded by his family at the Seven Oaks Hospital. George will be sadly missed by his loving wife Doreen, children George of British Columbia, Ilona (David), Donny (Pam), Joe (Susie), Rick (Elaine), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also his little buddy Scruffy. He was predeceased by his son Joe of British Columbia. George was born in Hungary and spent many years as a tool and die maker. Special thanks go to home care worker Vanessa and the staff on the 3rd Floor Unit 5 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. George was loved by all and will be sadly missed by many. A celebration of George's life will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 41 Maple St., Winnipeg. Seasons Funeral Chapel - OakBank

  • Oh George I'm sooo sad and heartbroken. We all new that the time was soon but I just wish it was not this soon. You have helped me a lot over the last few years in ways some can only imagine. If it weren't for me having you and Doreen everyday for a while I don't where I'd be right now, or my boys. There's soo many memories and soo many things I will miss. I will always remember with a smile how you could be soo bossy with just your hands..lol..how you would point at me, then the arm of your couch and then your back of course..lol. I would sit on your arm of the couch, holding your hand while I scratched your back. I'm going to miss that..and the times where you could see the old George shining through. You always knew who I was just by a giggle..lol. I love you soo much and I'm happy you knew that. I know you are free from pain and dancing again but I can't help selfishly wishing you back for a while...you became the best man I ever knew and can't imagine life with you not in it. You are soo loved by soo many George, and don't worry I'm still going to be spending time with Doreen ..she won't be alone. Sooo heartbroken <\3. R.I.P George Szor. You can dance with angels now. I love you soo much..you may be gone but you will never be forgotten. - Posted by: loretta kasprick () on: Jan 15, 2013
