Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHELMINA BERGTHORA THORKELSON (nee BERGTHORSON) July 19, 1920 - January 13, 2013 Peacefully, with her family at her side, Mina passed away in her home. Mina was born and raised in Lundar, MB. She was a hard worker, a dedicated mother and wife who worked hard at caring for a large and busy house and family. She, along with her husband Fred, helped with the farm and their construction company. Her door was always open to anyone in need of a place to call home. After the sudden loss of her husband, Mom had a greater input in the farm. Later she became the manager of Chicken Chef for many years. After retirement, her home continued to be the hub of the family. After Mina's 90th birthday, the family hub moved to the Lundar Senior Citizen's Home where she resided until her passing. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children: Karen, Anne (Bob), Fred (Laurel), Floyd (Cindy) and Neil (Tammy); grandchildren Lloyd (Alysia), Kirsten (Dennis), Joann (Bruce), Kent, Robbie (Tanya), Kasey (Jose), Larry (Karen), Donny (Erin), Jesse (Chase), Floyd Jr., Becky (Michael), Leif (Marri), Danielle, Kaleb, Nathan, Shane and Mikki; great-grandchildren Kenny (Amy), Leah (David), Blake, Emily, Anna, Ava, Bella, Amy, Evan, Loa, Iris, Tony, Shayne, Wayde, Sophie and her latest treasure, her great-great-grandson, Liam. Mina will also be remembered by her sister Runa, her brother John and sister-in-law Irene, along with many nieces and nephews. Mina is predeceased by her husband, Fred, parents John and Patrina, brothers Oli (Dorothy), Albert (Verg), Mickey, and brothers-in-law John and Arnor. A celebration of Mina's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Lundar Lutheran Church with Pastor Jane Zinken officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their great appreciation for the exceptional care given by the homecare staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lundar Lutheran Church, P.O.
