Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. My condolences to the family. Although I did not know him I've heard many stories of the adventures of the Hidson boys, Tom included. I came across his obituary in updating the genealogy of the Hidson family. - Posted by: Pat Hidson (daughter-in-law of Bert (Albert John) Hidson) on: Aug 05, 2013

  • We have known Tom since the mid-eighties. Always well dressed and a great smile. I could always tell he had been with the Armed Forces. Tom always had a good story to tell. We will miss him. He left us with many good memories. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the family. - Posted by: Pat & Jim Penner (Neighbourhood Watch) on: Jan 23, 2013

  • Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your Dad. I remember the many times your Mom & Dad and you all would come over to our house to visit while we were growing up. We shared many laughs and great stories. We always thought of your Dad as an honorable man and he will be missed. - Posted by: Mary (Hidson) & Earl Brown (Niece) on: Jan 22, 2013

  • Dilys, Tom and Dwayne and families - Our deepest sympathy to you and your families. You must be proud that your dad served our country for so many years. So many of uncle Tom's brothers and sisters served in the military. I remember selling poppies with Granny in the late 50s and early 60s; Maybe that was Granny's way of saying thank you to her children. Living in two different provinces we did not see your family very often; however I do remember your dad's impeccable grooming and military bearing and meeting Aunt Phyllis and all of you at family events. I met an elderly man that remembered the Hidson family from Vegreville when Grandpa was stationed there as a NW/RCMP. This gentleman's family supplied hay to the Mounted Police horses and he remembered all the Hidson kids; he remembered the family was big and made their own fun singing and dancing. Again, our deepest sympathy to you and your family. - Love, David (son of Amy Hidson) and Rosemarri Klamn, Lethbridge, AB - Posted by: David and Rosemarri Klamn and family (Son of Tom Hidson's sister Amy) on: Jan 20, 2013
