During her working career she had been employed by the Manitoba Government Forestry Service, Rodell Corporation and by the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Pharmacy for 28 years, serving as Administrative Assistant to the Dean and the Faculty. She enjoyed her career with the U of M, and particularly the every day contact she had with all of the students. A strong supporter of the Arts in Winnipeg, Margaret had been a season ticket subscriber to Manitoba Theatre Center, Prairie Theatre Exchange and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Margaret treasured "her kids" and was always thankful for their love and support, particularly during the rough times we all encounter in our lives. To Mom's friends, thank you for all your support in her final years. Her family wishes to thank the staff of the Parkway, especially Judy and Al for all of the care they gave to our mother. We also wish to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service, and the caring staff at Victoria General Hospital. • I used to love to go over to the Larcombe's when they lived in Wildwood Park. It was full of laughter and light, and I remember Mrs. Larcombe as being an important part of this. • I knew Mrs. Larcombe through my work at the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association (MPhA) and being a sessional lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Mrs. Larcombe was key to the great working relationship between the MPhA and the Faculty of Pharmacy over the many years and the several Deans she supported. She was also instrumental for the quality of the Pharmacy program at the University of Manitoba, and her legacy lives on. On behalf of the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association, our condolences to the many family members for her passing. - Posted by: Ronald Guse, Registrar (Colleague) on: Jan 24, 2013
