Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE SZUN June 30, 1916 - January 15, 2013 Anne Szun, born June 30, 1916 in Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully in Calgary on January 15, 2013. Sister, mother and grandmother, her memory will be lovingly cherished by her daughter Katherine Wright (Lary), grandchildren Marcus, Natalie and Jonathan, who were the love of her life, daughter-in-law Dorien Szun, all of Calgary, and sister Katherine Musick and several nieces and nephews all of Winnipeg, MB. Anne was predeceased by her husband Nicholas and her son Nicholas John. Anne had a love of music being an accomplished violinist, singer and member of several choirs. Anne retired from Field Aviation Co. Inc. of Calgary after 25 years as accounting manager. Devoted to her faith and Ukrainian heritage, Anne volunteered tirelessly in the Ukrainian Community. She was president and member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League (UCWLC) in Winnipeg and Calgary for over 60 years. She was a member of St. Vladimir Olga Cathedral in Winnipeg, and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church and St. Stephens Ukrainian Catholic Church in Calgary. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A Funeral Vigil will be held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 45 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 45 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Mark Bayrock officiating. Graveside Services to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and care personnel in the Fairview Unit of Southwood Care Centre in Calgary for their kindness and compassion.
