Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMANUEL IBARRA TAYLO 1943 - 2013 It is with great sadness to announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Manuel Taylo on January 15, 2013, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 69. A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Regina Taylo, daughter Teresa Paraiso, son Ronald Taylo, grandchildren Cris Paraiso, Amanda Paraiso, Andrew Dimaapi and Jasmine Dimaapi. He is also survived by siblings Ofelia Legaspi (Sergio), Herminia Urguelles (Armando), Elisa Gementiza (Raul) and numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, all of whom he cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Amada Taylo; siblings Gloria Palmer and Bonifacio Taylo, and daughter Carmela Dimaapi. Manuel was born on June 17, 1943 in Pasay City, Philippines and immigrated to Canada with his family in February 1975. Known to many as "Manny" or "Noli", he will be fondly remembered for his friendly personality which touched many lives. He was one of the most kind-hearted people you would meet and would never hesitate in helping others. He had an uncanny sense of humour and could always make people laugh and smile. He was a dedicated employee of Samuel Son Co. for nearly 35 years where he worked in various positions, most notably as Foreman. He had a joy for life and enjoyed the times spent with his family, especially the weekend trips to the casino with his wife. Viewing and prayer service (lamay) will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 Midnight. Mass of Christian burial will be held on January 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Burrin Avenue, officiated by Father Dado Parrenas. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, especially the Emergency Room staff for their help and support. It's been a long time since I came to Canada and landed on Winnipeg for a visit to my uncles and relatives. Tito Leng is the brother in law of my Auntie, Tita Baby Gementiza-Taylo. We got acquainted with Tito Leng & Tita Gina with a warm hospitality and I will never forget that a common necessity like a jacket has been given to me and my whole family. Tito Leng may the Lord God almighty grant the peace of your soul because by faith you're with our creator in eternity. Our deepest sympathy to Tita Gina & the whole family. I had the pleasure of working with Manny for 30 years and I am truly saddened by his sudden passing. Manny had such a wonderful personality, a gentle soul with such a happy disposition. Seeing him always always brought a smile to my face and I will miss him dearly. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, and was right there helping me organize & carry those frozen turkeys just before Christmas!
