IONA SMITH (nee RENNIE) Iona Smith passed away on December 19, 2012, at the Boyne Lodge at the age of 83. She was the youngest daughter of John and Lottie Rennie. Iona lived all her life in Carman and worked at Safeway for over 30 years. Iona was a Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #18. She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years Murray Smith, brother Bob, George, Ken, Orval and sister Devona. Left to mourn is her sister, Margaret Kellar of Thunder Bay, ON, plus a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Boundary Trails Health Centre, or to CancerCare Manitoba.
