Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE HNATIUK April 27, 1925 - January 21, 2013 Maurice Hnatiuk passed away suddenly at the age of 87 at St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his brother, sisters and son-in-law. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 67 years, Pauline (nee Burbella), children Ken (Gloria), Marilyn (Bob), Theresa (Elliott), and Richard (Jan); grandchildren Denise (Josh), Kelly, Alanna (Steve), Erik, Ian (Janine), Colleen, Tegann, Daniel (Madeleine), Jenna (Jason); great-grandchildren Austin, Leanne, Devin, Danielle, Chelsea, Adam; Sister Vera, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born and raised in Tyndall, Dad loved the land, the animals, and his life as a farmer. Starting with only 10 acres, his whole life was dedicated to building Hnatiuk Farms. He never retired; he never stopped working. Even in later years, Dad could often be found chopping wood, tending the garden, and helping his sons. The only thing he loved more than the farm was his family, which was his greatest pride and joy. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Tyndall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Box 297, Tyndall, MB R0E 2B0 where Dad was treasurer for 53 years.
