Dear Marie, Betty, Robbie and family, I have known Helen since the family moved to the city and lived across the street from us on McKenzie, that is sixty plus years. As Helen's youngest sister Marian's longest and dearest friend, Helen was a wonderful role model to me, a real inspiration. I know what a wonderful teacher she was as she taught my cousin's son and he still thinks she was his best teacher. I recall some great stories she told us of those days. Sorry we will not be able to attend the service to celebrate her life. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. With saddened hearts, Doreen and Reg - Posted by: Doreen(neeDoern)and Reg Kowalchuk; (neighbour and friend) on: Jan 27, 2013

Mrs. Tokar was my grade 4 teacher at Machray School. She was a wonderful and very caring person. She would take the time to make sure her students understood their lessons and encourage them always. She definitely touched our lives in a profound way. I have very fond memories of my early education because of wonderful teachers like Mrs. Tokar! I extend my sincere condolences to the Tokar family and thank you for sharing your mother with us. - Posted by: Shirley Timm-Rudolph - School Trustee RETSD (former student - Machray School) on: Jan 26, 2013
