Condolences & Memories (19 entries)

  • Happy Birthday, Mommy! Another year without you and I know you are smiling from Heaven; I miss you so much! Not a day goes by when I do not think about you, Rowan, Godfrey and Dad. You will always be in my heart forever and always; have a blessed birthday as well as Happy Easter to you. Until we meet again, Mommy. I love you and may God Bless you, Rowan, Godfrey and Dad. Love always, your daughter, Dionne. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Apr 08, 2023

  • Hello, Mommy! WOW! It’s been 10 years since you went home to be with the Almighty Father; not a day goes by that I am always thinking of you, Rowan, Godfrey and Dad. Like singer Celine Dion said: ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and like the late singer/actress Whitney Houston said: ‘I Will Always Love You’. I know you are smiling from Heaven right now and I am smiling as well. This is not a ‘goodbye’ but ‘see you soon.’ I love you so much, Mommy. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter ) on: Jan 22, 2023

  • Happy Mother's Day, Mommy! I miss you so much and I am always thinking of you; I am thinking of the good times we shared as mother and daughter. Today I am thinking of good thoughts and I am no longer sad because I can feel your spirit through my soul. Thank you, Mommy, and I love you very much until we meet again. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning." (Psalm 30:5). Love always and forever, your daughter, Dionne. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: May 09, 2021

  • Happy Birthday, Mommy! Another year without you and I am forever missing you; from your beautiful smile to your fantastic cooking to your wonderful words of wisdom, words cannot express how I really feel about missing you. Like your favourite singer Diana Ross sang in her song, 'Missing You', she said, 'Tell me why the road turned.' If I could only turn back the hands of time... nevertheless, Happy Birthday, Beautiful Black Jamaican Queen Mother, until we meet again. Like the late singer Whitney Houston said: 'I Will Always Love You' and I always will. Love always and forever, your daughter Dionne. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Apr 08, 2021

  • Hello, Mommy. Here we are again, another year, and my heart feels heavy that you are no longer here on planet Earth. It has been eight years since you went to be with the Lord and not a day goes by that I do not think of you and I can still hear your voice in my ears telling me that 'everything is going to be alright'. That is what singer Bob Marley said in his song 'No Woman No Cry' and that is what I shall do today; I will not shed a tear and I will reminisce of the good times as well as the bad times you and I had as a mother and daughter. I love you very much, Mommy. Until we meet again. REST IN POWER!!! - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Jan 22, 2021

  • Today is the day you passed onto eternal life, Mother. Seven years and I am still missing you everyday; today, I will not cry but I will reflect on the wonderful memories you and I shared as mother and daughter. I am no longer suffering because I have you in spirit and you are no longer suffering in pain. If I could 'only have you back again' as singer Ken Boothe sang in 'Everything I Own'. 'Just to talk to you once again' would make me smile and I know you are smiling from Heaven. May God Bless you, Mother, until we meet again. Forever your daughter, Dionne. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Jan 22, 2020

  • Happy Mother's Day, Mommy. Wow! Six years without you and your beautiful words of wisdom; not a day goes by without you and I miss you very much. If only you were still here on Earth I would hold you in my arms and say, 'I love you, Mommy!' I shall not cry: I shall remember all the things you did for me in your life as well as mine. Thank you very much, Mommy. I love you. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: May 12, 2019

  • Happy Birthday to you, Mommy. I know you are having a blessed birthday today. If I could only sing you the song but the good Lord Jesus Christ is singing the song just for you! Not a day goes by that I do not think about you; I know you are smiling from Heaven and you are with the angels (Rowan and Godfrey) as well as Dad. So from planet Earth Happy Birthday and have a blessed day because you deserve it. I will always love you, Mommy! - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Apr 08, 2019

  • Hello, Mommy. I cannot believe it has been six years since you went home to be with the Lord. I miss you so much and not a day goes by when I think about you and I can still hear your beautiful words of wisdom everyday, even when things go wrong for me. If only I could spend some more time with you I would be at peace with myself. Mommy, you are no longer suffering and I will always continue to think of you as well as love you as only a mother and daughter should do. "I Will Always Love You", Mommy. - Posted by: Dionne Irving (Daughter) on: Jan 22, 2019

  • Heaven couldn't wait for you and you served your divine purpose. It has been 6 years without you Mom and if I could have 30 seconds with you I would thank you for everything and be so grateful for the time allotted. I love you so much! - Posted by: Nathalie Irving (Daughter) on: Jan 22, 2019

  • Mother's Day is almost here and Mommy, I miss you very much. I will never forget you for you always brightened my everyday. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you and I shall remember the good times we had and not the bad. I love you, Mother and God bless. Thank you for all you do and did. I like for always, I love you forever, my mommy you'll be. Love You Mom. - Posted by: Nathalie (daughter) on: Feb 11, 2013

  • My mother was so full of life, determination and vigor, and the memories that I hold within my mind will live forever in my heart. In my heart of hearts, I truly believe that she shared a different connection with each of her 8 children. I am ever so grateful and thankful to have had her as a mother, and know that while I can no longer enjoy her in the physical, it is my memories of her that have imparted a wonderful and indelible print of love, selflessness, joy and laughter within my heart, that will help me through this massive emptiness her passing has left. There is no question of the amazing legacy my mother leaves behind, and my life is so much richer and blessed for it. Rest in peace Mother, your other journey has only just begun. - Posted by: Amanda G (daughter ) on: Feb 10, 2013

  • Condolences to the family of Monica. We will miss her especially at the Afro-Caribbean Association functions. May her soul rest in peace. - Posted by: Lucinda Gordon (friend) on: Jan 26, 2013

  • I was so upset to her of Mrs. Irving's passing. Growing up, I spent many days in her household. This obituary could not be more correct in its' description of Mrs. Irving. She was one of the strongest women I have ever known. She was loving, intelligent and when faced with adversary she would forge ahead. I remember her dedication to her children and the conversations I would have with her at her kitchen table. She will never know the impact she had on my life and the lessons I learned from her. I am blessed to have known her. - Posted by: Sylvia S. (friend) on: Jan 26, 2013
