Dorothy is survived by her sons Robert (Penny) of Minneapolis, Bruce (Luella) of Calgary, four grandchildren Graham (Andrea) of Austin, Texas, Linda (Bjorn) of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Sean (Catherine) and Kimberly of Calgary and four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Malcolm, Caroline and Phoebe. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1987. Dorothy and Jim's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends at their cottage on Lake of the Woods. Dorothy was an active member for many years in St. Andrews River Heights United Church and also the Consumer Association of Canada. The family is grateful to the staff and residents of the Wellington on Grant for the many happy years she spent there and the Home Care nurses and aides who assisted her in her later years so she could continue to enjoy independent living. After a fall and a fractured hip in October Dorothy was treated at Seven Oaks Hospital where the staff treated her with loving care. The family is deeply grateful. Dorothy will be cremated and a memorial gathering will be held this summer. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca

Dear Halliday Family, Bob & I would like to send you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved mother and grandmother. Dorothy (and Jim) were long time dear friends of my parents, Bernice & Don Small. Mom & Dad always spoke highly of the two of them. The 2 couples had great times together when my folks were invited to their Lake cottage. Mom enjoyed Dorothy's friendship at their church, as her marathon bridge partner & at The Wellington. We loved having dinner with Dorothy when we visited @ The W. Dorothy was an awesome lady. I know that all who knew her will miss her. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers! Dorothy was a great friend to my grandparents Bernice and Don Small. I had the pleasure of growing up with Dorothy and she was always inquisitive and so nice. She genuinely cared about the people around her. I can still picture her smile when I walk in a room. - Posted by: Sami Jo Small (Friend) on: Jan 28, 2013
