FRIEDA JENSEN (ROSIN) Peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013, with family by her side, Frieda passed away at Maples Personal Care Home. No more pain, no more sorrow. She leaves to mourn her daughter Pat Gateson, husband Al, their three children, Kristyn (Al), Kathy (Mark), Kelly (Kelly); son Ken, wife Irene, their four children, Kevin (Laura), Kerryn (Brian), and their mother Lindy, Kathy (Tom), Caroline (Sean). She also leaves to mourn, 11 great-grandchildren as well as sister, Elsie Smeall, brother-in-law Harry Doerksen, sisters-in-law Yvonne Rosin and Ruth Rosin, numerous nieces and nephews and many relatives in Denmark. She was predeceased by her husband Harold, father Gustav, mother Wilhelmina, brothers Paul, Bill, Carl, Herman, Archie and sister Evelyn. Frieda was born on December 7, 1919 in Friedensfeld, MB and moved to Winnipeg at a young age. She married Harold in 1940. After their children were grown, she worked at the Hudson Bay Co. in the lamp department, a job she really enjoyed and where she made a number of lifelong friends. She made several trips to Denmark with Harold and was able to meet many of his relatives with whom she remained in contact with after his passing in 1985. Frieda was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, and Grace Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home, especially the staff on 1 East. Your kindness, compassion and dedication throughout mother's stay are very much appreciated. A special thank you to "Angie". Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame (across from Brookside Cemetery), Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Dunlop, Kevin Jensen, Allan Kalupar, Kelly Konechny, Joshua Onufrejow and Tom Tarrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberley, Winnipeg, MB, R2K 0X3.   • Hi, Ken and family. Just wanted to give my condolences to you all. Will deeply miss your mother, she was a wonderful woman.. always so cordial and friendly even when she was not feeling well.
