Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • its so painful having the likes of great men like Arthur Gustave Giese leave this world. I just read read about his article about Isra Band (a band containing combinations of stones that can help mankind spiritually) this year (2017) and decided to reach him through the address I copied from the internet so that I can order for ( buy) one. it is, however, shocking when i later discovered his obituary postal. I want to use this moment to send a belated condolence to the family, especially his wife. I pray that he finds the necessary help in the beyond,Amen. • Shauna and family; I am so sorry that we did not know of Art's passing until Christmas card 2014, was returned. Know that we all cared for Art very much, he was so good to Fern and to all of us when we visited Winnipeg. • I just thought I'd add a personal and heart-felt message on here too in addition to the comment that was put on here above by my whole family (my mother - Sandra Nanka, brother - Glenn and his family, April - myself, deceased father - Paul etc.) I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of my uncle Art. My heart goes out to his daughter - Shauna who is my second cousin. She was always the closest with her dad - Art and she will have the hardest time dealing with the loss of her father. I remember all the memories from my childhood with Art, my mother - Sandra, my deceased grandma - Alma, my deceased great-grandma, my deceased father - Paul and other family members. My mother - Sandra is the one out of my immediate family that has the most memories of her Uncle Art and her family. Even though family may not see each other that much as we used to, the memories are always in our minds and hearts and never fade away. My heart goes out to you - Shauna since your Art's daughter. Losing a parent is very hard especially if you're very close with them. Thinking of you and your family. Love Always, April Nanka (second cousin of Shauna and through my mother - Sandra Nanka who is the cousin of her Uncle Art). - Posted by: April Nanka (Uncle Art (through my mom - Sandra Nanka who Art was her uncle)) on: Feb 02, 2013

  • Uncle Art was a very kind, friendly, and had a smile that showed his soft and giving heart. We will remember him along with his sister Alma, our grandma, at Xmas and just those family days on day st and gateway homes. Uncle Art used to tell us kids some stories of him driving a cab for the city of Winnipeg. we will always remember our great Uncle Art! • I have fond memories of uncle Art and you Shauna. After your mom passed your dad made it a point to come to Thunder Bay to celebrate Christmases for years with his baby sister and her family, so that you could have fun and be with family. You even got to see Santa Claus!! Your dad loved you so much and made you his world. I know this is difficult for you and will be for a long time. Time will ease the pain, and fill the void with great memories that you and your dad shared together. My heart goes out to you Shauna, I know how hard this is for you!! • When tomorrow starts without me And I'm not there to see If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today While thinking of the many things We didn't get to say I know how much you love me As much as I love you And each time that you will think of me I know you'll miss me too But when tomorrow starts without me Please try to understand That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand So when tomorrow starts without me Don't think we're far apart For every time you thnk of me I'm right here in your heart - Posted by: GINA SKOMOROH (STEP DAUGTHER) on: Jan 29, 2013
