Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARNOLD PETZNIK Arnold Petznik, at the age of 80, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital. He was born on March 16, 1932 in Poland and at the age of four immigrated to Canada with his parents and older brother. He is survived by his loving wife Gerda whom he met on December 9, 1953 and married on June 26, 1954. He is also survived by one brother Alfred and one sister Elsie, both of Greenwald, MB; also two sons Jerry (Sheila) of Winnipeg, MB, John (Laurie) of Keremeos, BC and one daughter Erika (Oskar) of Winnipeg, MB; two grandchildren Steven (Alyssa), and Pam (Greg), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by both of his parents, August Petznik (1978) and Filipena Petznik (1986), sister-in-law Delila Petznik (2006), and brother-in-law Wilfred Biedler (2010). We are grateful to the staff at Luther Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for all the care provided to Arnold and support to the family. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Avenue, with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Reception and interment to follow. Pastor Leon Gilbertson officiating. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Luther Home or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111

Arnold was my best buddy when we were small and living in Poland. However we had the usual fights as children, sometimes even hitting took place. Big brother Alfred would have to step in and make us behave. Will always miss my childhood buddy. - Posted by: Leah Burgess (Cousin) on: Jan 30, 2013
