ANN WELCHINSKI (nee RODYCH) December 17, 1933 - January 30, 2013 Ann Welchinski, aged 79 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Gimli Community Health Centre on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She is survived by her husband Stanley of 54 years; sons Nicholas and Leonard; daughter Katherine; sister Pauline Syrowy of Brampton, ON and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son James (December 27, 2007); parents Mary and Nicholas Rodych; brother Peter; sisters Teenie, Helen and Olga. Ann lived her whole life in Fraserwood. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows, soap operas, humming birds, flowers and worked Bingos at Fraserwood Hall. The family would like to thank Dr. R.C. Patel and all the staff at Gimli Community Health Centre, Brenda Krulicki at Homecare, Rev. John Melnyk and Peter Capar Jr. for their visits to the hospital at Health Sciences Centre. At her request, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest beside her son James at Fraserwood Community Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations in Ann's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
