NORMA MORTON (nee PEATFIELD) March 13, 1922 January 22, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Emily Morton on January 22, 2013 at the age of 90 in Winnipeg, MB. Norma was the beloved wife of 69 years to the late John Morton who passed away on November 7, 2012. Their love for each other was an inspiration to us all. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Dennis, Robert, Gary (Liz) and Karen (Fred), grandchildren Jeffrey (Lisa), Kevin, Kristi (Jose), Justin (Karine), Jessica (Phong) and Tara, great-grandchildren Alexie, Hanna, Liam and Izabel and her brother Allan Peatfield. Also left to cherish her memory are her nephews Jim Peatfield and Bill Peatfield, nieces Anna Mae Whettell and her family and Brenda Demetrioff and family in Calgary. The family would like to express their special thanks to the caring staff of the Golden Door. We would also like to express our thanks to the home care staff of Access Transcona. Their many years of special care made it possible for Norma to remain in her home as long as possible. The celebration of Norma's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Monday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
