Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I'll never forget you, Curtis. The summers of '79 and '80, working with you, singing, and dressing as clowns, made for great times, and I'm sure made the days of all the oldtimers. R.I.P. my friend... - Posted by: Stephen Skrypnyk (Co-worker) on: Mar 06, 2013

  • A great friend and co-worker at the City of Winnipeg. Curt had a great sense of humor and kept us in stitches with his witty remarks! I will miss you my friend. Condolences to Diana and Shannon. - Posted by: Al Nichols (friend/co-worker) on: Feb 27, 2013

  • I knew Curt many years ago, through late high school and university. I remember hanging out with him, Bill, Bruce, sometimes Joe and Brian in my friend Laura's basement, having lots of laughs and fun. We lost touch when Bob and I married and moved away. We are saddened to hear of Curt's passing and that he'd not been well. Deepest sympathies to his family. He was a good friend. - Posted by: Cindy Gleason Risi (Old friend) on: Feb 26, 2013

  • Even though I did not have the opportunity to work with Curt directly, I admire his friendliness and great sense of humour. He is the type of person you'd like to chat with and talk about anything. I'm quite certain that everyone who knows him will miss him dearly. - Posted by: Victor Pagsuyuin (friend) on: Feb 14, 2013

  • It was at Transit Treasury that I met Curt, about 1980 or 81. Memories flooding in, many. A memorable man. Sad to hear this news. Condolences to Diana and Shannon. - Posted by: Bill Trutnau (friend and co worker) on: Feb 13, 2013

  • I had the pleasure of working closely with Curt during his last years at City Hall. He was a terrific co-worker and his sense of humor was surpassed by none. Even with his failing health these last few years, his quick wit was still very much evident in our many phone conversations. He will be missed by all his friends at the City. My sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Judy Schmidt (co-worker and friend) on: Feb 04, 2013

  • Sincerest sympathies to family and friends.. - Posted by: Sandie Koltalo () on: Feb 03, 2013

  • I first worked with Curtis in the former accounting branch of the Finance Dept. at the City of Winnipeg. We worked together in the General Accounts section. Curtis had a great sense of humor & frequently had us laughing...particularly when showing us pictures of our Finance Christmas parties. I then worked with Curtis in the Risk Management Division when he was on disability. He was a pleasure to work with. My sincere condolences to the family and his daughter Shannon - Posted by: Heather Loreth (former co-worker) on: Feb 02, 2013
