Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE (KAY) BOLONCHUK, (nee WITYSHYN) After a lengthy illness Kay passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 84 years. Kay was predeceased by her husband Mitch Bolonchuk (1968), her parents Mary and Peter Wityshyn, her sisters Anne Polisk and Ollie MacKay, her brothers Stephen, John and Walter. Kay is survived by her sons Larry (Leslie) and Dale (Debbie), granddaughter Frances, grandsons Mitchell, Riley, Alan and Drew (Kaylee), great-granddaughter Lara, brother Paul (Louise), as well as many nieces and nephews. Kay was born on the family farm at Chatfield Municipality. She began working for Safeway after Mitch's passing. After she finished off her working life, Kay enjoyed her retirement. She had some property out of town where she loved working in her garden. Kay loved cooking and to make perogies and her family loved to eat them. She crocheted and made afghans for all the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre on 5 East and West for their excellent care and compassion during Mom's time at the centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (4000 Portage Avenue). Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearer Paul Wityshyn, Active Pallbearers Mitch Bolonchuk, Riley Bolonchuk, Drew Bolonchuk, and Alan Bolonchuk. In lieu of flowers donations in Kay's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
