Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUREEN KNIGHT (nee O'SULLIVAN) It is with great sadness that Kerry, Kevin and Shellagh announce the passing of their mom on February 3, 2013 at the age of 83. Over the past few years Mom has endured failing health with great strength, grace and always a sense humour. Maureen leaves to mourn her passing and forever treasure her memory, her children Kerry, Kevin and Shellagh, grandchildren Christopher, Taylor and Courtney, sister-in-law Kathleen, friend Diane Frechette, honorary daughters Elaine and Val, nieces Colleen and Erin (Jim), and nephew Garry (Rose Mary). Maureen was predeceased by her husband Chuck, her parents Michael and Tilly O'Sullivan and her friend Les Williams. Maureen retired from Shell Oil, remaining active in the Retirees Association. She also had a long association with the Chief and Petty Officer's Mess, HMCS Chippawa. Mom's life was a life well lived. She traveled the world and enjoyed time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Her home was always open to all, with a welcoming smile and sense of humour that will be missed. Maureen's charitable activities included taking pets to visit seniors and sponsoring a child in Africa. Thank you to the people who made Mom's journey easier, St. Boniface Hospital Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic, 5E Medicine and 5B Medicine. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. A Celebration of Maureen's Life will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Hi To Maureen's family, I am sorry for your mother's passing. I do not know you although my father is your mother's cousin and we were just talking about your grandfather. His name comes up in conversation from time to time. I am writing to you from Co. Tyrone as your grandfather's name came up in conversation again, and I happened to google your mother. If you want to contact to find out more about Michael's brother's John's family, your mother's uncle, feel free to contact me. It's a pity we did not make contact sooner. Again, sorry for your loss.
