ALICE ISABELLE GRENIER (née THORIMBERT) Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Alice Grenier passed away on February 5, 2013 at the age of 93 years old at Centre Taché Centre. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, René Sr., her brothers Joseph, Louis, Robert, and her sister Yvonne. Alice will be sadly missed by her children René Jr. (Louise Stragier), Rolande Dodgson (Gary), Noëlla Grenier, Clarisse Daudet (Bertrand), 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her brother Auguste (Marie), and sisters-in-law Harriet and Audrey. Alice was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba on March 22, 1919. She moved to St. Boniface at the age of five where she attended school and graduated from Académie St. Joseph. She moved to St. Vital with her parents in 1935, married our dad in 1940 and celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2010. She worked at the St. Boniface Sanitorium, now the St. Amant Centre, as a purchasing agent and retired after 17 years of service. A viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Reception to take place in the church hall. A special thanks to the staff at 2ABC at Centre Taché Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's memory to Centre Taché Centre.   • We knew Alice and her husband Rene from their dental visits to my office. We always enjoyed their visits, Alice always had a twinkle in her eyes and a joke to share with us. She will be missed.   • Will always have fond memories of Matonte Alice. I will always remember her back yard garden which she tended to so well. Was always a treat to visit her family on our Sunday excursions.
