EDITH MARGARET MANSON (nee ROBERTS) December 7, 1919 - February 5, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mom, Granny and Great-Granny Edith Manson on February 5, 2013, at the Maples Personal Care Home, at the age of 93. Left to cherish her memory are children Patricia (Mal), Glenn (Pat); grandchildren Darryl (Julie), Dayna (Rob), Heather and Craig; great-grandchildren Kevin, Isabelle, Nolan and Nathan; nephews Rob and Don Harvey. She was predeceased by her husband Wayne on January 15, 1999, parents Alexander and Mary Roberts, and her siblings. Edith and Wayne married on March 17, 1945 and had many happy years together raising family and had trips to Hawaii, California, Florida and driving trips in Canada. Edith worked for many years at Eaton's and then as manager of Garden City Laura Secord. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew's United Church, and more recently Kildonan Community Church. Mom enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, reading and watching TV. Above all, she enjoyed her family, visiting, going for drives and getting together for dinners. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. You are an inspiration to us Mom. Your strength, independence and feistiness made you memorable to all. You are deeply loved and we will miss you. The family would like to thank Dr. A. Rothova and Matti, Homecare (especially Bernie, Lori and Josie), Dr. Babick and all the staff at The Maples for excellent care and compassion. A private family service will be held at a later date.
