DOROTHY EILEEN KUFFLICK (nee MOYSE) With her family by her side, Dorothy slipped away peacefully on January 31, 2013 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Steve, daughters Dorie, Dini, Linda (John), granddaughter Madison, and her siblings Geraldine (Eric), Grant (Dolly), Elizabeth, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Olive and Gerald Moyse, and sister Maxine LaCroix of Portage La Prairie. Dorothy was born on September 21, 1933. While growing up in Portage La Prairie, she made many life-long friendships. On January 23, 1954 she married Steve and they raised their family in Winnipeg. It was important to her to develop neighbourhood friendships and to give back to the community. Orioles Community Club was fortunate to have her dedication and hard work as a member of the Women's Auxiliary. Her pastimes were: watching figure skating and curling; playing cards with family, having a twirl with her granddaughter in the kitchen and her excursions to the casino where she loved to play bingo. Dorothy had a great sense of humour, was kind, caring, thoughtful, warm and the best granny ever. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all. We wish to acknowledge the special care and the comfort support provided by the staff at the Grace Hospital ICU. We invite you to attend at Mom's request, a short service with reception to follow Friday, February 15, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn. In addition, following the reception there will be an informal gathering at the Army Navy Unit 283, 3584 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Please join us in sharing her memory. • Steve and Family....sorry to hear about your loss and also that I couldn't make the service but I was in Texas at the time and was having some health issues of my own. I shall always remember your wife as being a person who was always extremely interested in the Kufflick clan (like u Steve) and enjoyed our get-to-gethers, even though many of them were short and were on sad occasions. Not enough happy ones! My thoughts and prayers are with you as I know the loneliness you are going through. Take care enjoy your family and hopefully we will have a get to gether soon. • I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It was a long time ago but I have still got fond memories of visiting back and forth with Dini on Arlington St., going to the Red River Ex and making taffy in the dining room. We were pretty young but I remember with a smile. - Posted by: Cindy (Rowson) Meads (old neighbour) on: Feb 09, 2013
