IRENE PIGOTT It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mom, Irene Pigott, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Concordia Hospital. Irene (DaRuth) was born in Antigua on March 11, 1926 to John Pigott and Rebecca Warner. After leaving school, she married Raymond Paul. She and her family immigrated to London, England in 1960 where she worked for many years in the garment industry and as a hospital cafeteria attendant. Irene later immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1982 to join her eldest son Malcolm Williams. After arriving in Winnipeg, mom worked for Home Care until her retirement. She enjoyed volunteering at various organizations especially at the CNIB, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Irene also attended church regularly and was a member of the Rowandale Baptist Church. Irene was predeceased by her parents, her younger siblings: Enid, Helene, Neville, also her grandson, Jerome Williams on September 13, 2012. Left to mourn are her children: Malcolm Williams (Ellen), Sylvanus (Patsy), Penelope Paul, Sandra Paul, Julie Parkinson (Andy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Canada and the UK, siblings: Stewart Pigott (Estella) and Eustace Pigott (Martha) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the Caribbean, England, USA and Canada. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Concordia Hospital for the care given to our mom. Visitation for family and friends is being held at Rowandale Baptist Church on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing to start at 10:00 a.m. at Rowandale Baptist Church, 162 Rowandale Avenue, with Reverend Mark Woods officiating. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
