BARRY FOWLER It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Barry aged 57 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his loving wife Cathy, sister Sandy and brother Todd at his side. Barry was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his large extended family, many friends and co-workers. Barry had a wonderful sense of humour and was very quick to laugh. He loved to joke around and many will remember being on the receiving end of his quick wit. Barry received exceptional care on the 6th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital under Dr. Li and Dr. Banerji. We wish to thank Agnes and all the wonderful staff who loving cared for him during his brief but courageous battle with cancer. We would like to thank our family, extended family and friends for the love and support during this time. Your prayers covered and sustained us every day. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made to CancerCare Manitoba for MICB Research. Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Crosspoint Community Church, 554 Marsden St.

I cannot imagine to know the mixture of feelings that you are experiencing at this time, but I can assure you that you are not alone. As friends we can extend our comfort, but your best strength will come in leaning on Jesus and sharing all your feelings with Him. We will continue to remember you in our thoughts and prayers. I know that words are inadequate at a time like this but I wanted you to know how very sorry I am for your loss. The loss of a spouse is a tragic event and I can't even begin to know the pain and suffering you are experiencing. It is times like this that our faith is put to the test. We know that we must accept his passing and give thanks for the wonderful life he lived. As sad as it will be, there will always be the memory of him to hold in your heart. The Bible reminds us that "Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted." I pray that this will continue to be especially true for you as you mourn Barry's passing. I pray that God will give you the strength to see you through this sad and difficult time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family Cathy. - Posted by: Linda Fette (Colleage & Friend to Cathy) on: Feb 12, 2013

I haven't seen Barry since he was a young man, and remember him best from when he and his sister were small, and we used to visit his adoptive parents. It sounds as though he found a measure of happiness, and I wish Cathy and family well. - Posted by: Linda Strange formerly Yerex (2nd cousin) on: Feb 11, 2013
