EMILY STAMP Peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Aunt Em passed away at the age of 93 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday February 25th at 12:30 PM at St. Martin in the Fields Anglican Church, 160 Smithfield Ave, Winnipeg. Complete obituary to follow. 204-586-8044

I had the privilege of working with Emily at my first job out of high school, at the Office of the Superintendent of Insurance; and was there when she became the first woman to hold the position of Superintendent. It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Emily Stamp. Our sincere condolences go out to her family and friends. Emily was a loyal USC Canada supporter for close to 50 years. I had the privilege of meeting Emily in 2011, she was a true groundbreaker for women and an inspiration to us all. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity of spirit.
