Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE (ESAU) GINTER January 11, 1925 - February 12, 2013 Anne Ginter passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the age of 88. She will be deeply missed by her children: Darlene, Harvey (Line), Alvin (Val), grandchildren Heather, Colin (Sarah), Yohan, Michael, Shevon (Jamy), Shaylene and Ryan. She was predeceased by her husband Peter N. Ginter in 1987 and her son-in-law Brian in 2002. Her siblings and their spouses have all predeceased her, except her beloved sister Mary and her sister-in-law Tina. Anne was born in Russia, coming to Canada with her family as a baby. They settled in the Rosengard area, where Anne grew up and helped out with the family farm. In 1953, she married Peter, they moved to Bissett briefly, and then to Niverville. In their new home, they raised their three children while commuting for work. In later years Anne worked locally at the Niverville Hatchery. When her husband developed cancer in 1987, Anne became his loving and faithful caregiver. After his death and her retirement she enjoyed many happy times with her children and grandchildren. Sunday dinner was always a special event. During those years she loved to go bowling and play cards with her friends. In 2002, she sold her home in Niverville and moved into Silver Courts Seniors Complex. She soon learned to appreciate both the independence and the security her new apartment provided. In later years her many home care workers made it possible for her to remain in her apartment until her death. A special thank you to the workers and volunteers who took time to play SkipBo with her! Your companionship is what kept her healthy and happy during her later years. Thank you also to Dr. Mairi and pharmacist Mr. Karam Abd El Nour for their constant support as Anne aged. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Niverville Community Fellowship church, 116 Third Ave. S, with viewing prior to the service. Interment at the Niverville Heritage Cemetery. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

I met Mrs. Ginter in 1973 while attending Providence Bible College (then it was called Winnipeg Bible College). Darlene and I had become friends and I was invited to their home for the weekend. Mrs. Ginter (and Mr Ginter) made me feel like part of the family. She introduced me to Rice Pudding and I remember with fondness her warm smile and easy laug. She will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with the family. - Posted by: Sherry Wedel (Friend of Darlene Noga (daughter)) on: Feb 16, 2013
