RUDOLF SCHINK January 24, 1939 - February 15, 2013 It is with deep sadness we announce that on February 15, 2013 at the age of 74, our husband, father, and grandfather passed away suddenly at the Victoria Hospital. Born in Ravnopol, Soviet Union on January 24, 1939, he was predeceased by his mother Efilina Schink (Dymke) and his father Johann Schink and his aunt who raised him, Berta Dymke. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Nina Schink (Zubkova), his daughter Tanya Schink and his grandson, Daniel Schink. He is also survived by his numerous cousins and other family members in Germany and Russia. Rudolf, along with wife and daughter, moved from Russia to Canada in May of 1978. He has been employed as a machinist in CNN repair shops from 1979 to 2003. He was a wonderful family man, who loved spending time around his house and garden, and travelling. When he retired, he spent a lot of his time with his only grandson. He also loved his dogs - the latest, Mukhtar, still does not understand why his papa is not coming home. Funeral Service for Rudolf will be held on Friday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Burial will take place right after at Brookside Cemetery, and a reception will follow at 12:00 noon at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
