EVA MAY STRONG After a lengthy stay at Grace Hospital, on February 15, 2013, Eva May Strong, Nana , aged 81 passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Eva will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Wendy and husband Butch, grandchildren Robert (Jenny), Alisha (Jose) and great-grandchildren Summer, Autumn, Tevien, Austin, Keshaun, Joshua and Tyson. She is also survived by her sister Heather (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews. Eva will also be fondly remembered by her many neighbourhood friends in St. James. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Thomas and Elizabeth, brothers Thomas Jr. and Lawrence. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Grace Hospital's ICU and Fourth floor for their kind and compassionate care of Nana during her stay there. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Guy for his caring concern. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. Funeral Services will be held at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Eva was a wonderful neighbor. She always took the time to visit with us and we enjoyed her stories about the neighborhood. Eva was always part of the community and kept an eye out for the safety of the children. She would watch the school bus to make sure the children got on and off safely.
