Rudy is survived by his brother Jake and Helen Woelke and sisters Marlies and Eric Berg, Gertrude Bueckert, and Helen and Jake Janzen. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Anna Woelke and brothers George and Robert. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Rudy will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Saturday, April 6, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Menno Home Foundation, Box 280, Grunthal, MB R0A 0R0. Rudy and I spent half a lifetime in s school together. Rudy was a Woelke, meaning tough as home made nails and as durable as a Mennonite bun. Rudy was kind, friendly and an affable presence; Strangers and enemies were foreign to him and his nature. May you gently rest in peace, oola Frind, Rudy.
