HAROLD SEYMOUR HOLDER 1934 - 2013 On February 28, 2013, surrounded by his family, Harold Seymour Holder passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre. Harold was born in Bridgetown, Barbados on October 13, 1934. He was the eldest son of Ena Blanche and Austin Seymour Holder. He was educated at Harrison's College in Barbados and worked as a radio operator at International Air Radio at Seawell, now known as the Grantly Adams Airport. Harold immigrated to Montreal, Canada in the 1960s and trained with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon completion of his basic training, he was posted at Goderich, ON and then later moved to Winnipeg, MB. He left the Royal Canadian Air Force to pursue a university education. He graduated with a Bachelor in Science degree Major in Mathematics from the University of Manitoba in 1974. He taught Mathematics and French language at St. Norbert School. He also received training in accounting and became a Certified General Accountant and a Tax Consultant. In 1986, he met his soul mate Estrellita and they were married in 1988. They enjoyed travelling and visited many places including his birthplace Barbados and the Philippines. Harold took pleasure in fitness until his illness in 1999. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Estrellita, his children Heather and Michael from his first marriage, his brothers Keith (Karen) and Frank, his sister Joan, and by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in- law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and many supportive family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of 2 west Riverview Health Centre, and to the numerous family and friends for their care, support, love, and prayers through this very trying time. Lamay (visitation) and a celebration of Harold's life will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street in Winnipeg. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens to follow. We shall not forget him and at the going down of the sun and in the morning, we shall remember him. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
