  • My mother and I send our deepest sympathies to the Jerry, Nicole, and Kory. My fondest memories of cherlyn is that she could shop. We would arrive in winnipeg and she would be on the phone with me telling me where I could find products--she was the quintissentila shopper. she was an amazing mother and an incredible daughter to her father in his later years. she will be missed - Posted by: june wynant (niece of her aunt eleanor) on: Mar 08, 2013

  • “You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.” - Posted by: Lori Danyluk (Friend) on: Mar 08, 2013

  • I am so sad to lose Cherlyn from my life; her infectious laugh, big smile and true grit will be forever treasured and missed. We met over 46 years ago and she was the one who gave me the confidence to re-enter the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years by giving me a job at Simply Adorable. With her encouragement, I went back to school and re-entered the business world which I truly enjoyed. Thankfully we recently had a chance to catch up this summer at our cottage at Grand Beach and then again when she called from Waikiki full of plans for the year. She was so sure there was more time. She so loved Jerry and was so proud of Nicole and Kory and she treasured all her friendships. We will never forget her as she was such a special lady - "Simply Adorable". - Posted by: Marianne Troup (Palmer) (Friend) on: Mar 08, 2013

  • Dear Jerry, Nicole and Kory...... We were very very sad to hear of your loss and have many, many fond memories of all our escapades during our teen years.....(You probably heard about the story when Peter and Sally were away one of many weekends and the party was on and someone opened the Texas Mickey which was only to look at on the Bar ...How do we replace that by the next day....The answer was we didn't ... It wasn't until Sally offered a friend a drink sometime later and the friend asked Sally to taste the drink and said that he had tasted stronger tea than the drink she had just poured him....We had been caught... We met some 46 years ago (Cherl dated Ernie in her mid teens) and although we did not see alot of each other in the latter years when we did see each other we never missed a beat.....It was like time stood still in many ways.... That natural curly hair, beautiful smile and those pronouncesd dimples will live on in our memory forever....We (Ernie and I) are so glad we got to see you and catch up last year in Palm Springs and remember all the fun times we had in years gone by like it was yesterday.... To Jerry, Nicole and Kory .... She was a wonderful wife, terrific mother, a class act, one of a kind, always so well put together and forever a smmile on her face.....That is how we will remember Cherlyn Cherl you will be thought of often and truly missed...... Rest in peace.... Love Betty and Ernie Dmytriw - Posted by: Ernie and Betty Dmytriw and family (Old Friends) on: Mar 07, 2013

  • We are heart sick at the news of Cherlyn's passing. We extend our deepest sympathy to Jerry and her children. As kids my brother Larry and I spent hours playing with the Mazepa kids. With Cherlyn being a few years older there was always a bit of mischief planned for the younger kids. We've seen Cheryl off and on over the years. I was struck by her youthful look with her bright smile! It is with profound sadness that we say farewell. - Posted by: Ollie Carlson & Lynda Ruban (old neighbours ) on: Mar 07, 2013
